Nipples. The fact that we are born with them, that they are completely natural, that they nourish our infants, that all women have them, and that the concept of them or the sight of them causes an outcry in certain people for reasons ranging from indecency to sex are all true.
When it comes to bra fittings, the majority of my customers choose bras with a more substantial shaping. Their explanation is usually something along the lines of "because I like the contour the molding creates" or "because I want a smooth look." The phrase "because I don't want my nipples to show through my shirt" is probably the most common response. They are interested in nipple coverings.
Our nipples are an essential component of our feminine anatomy. Therefore, the decision of whether or not to display yours publicly is up to you as an individual. Because many women don't want the added bulk and they don't fit properly, here are some tips that will help you hide yours without having to wear thick molded cup bras. For those who choose not to share theirs, here are some tactics that will help you hide yours.
1. Covers that do not require adhesive. My go-to nipple covers are Wacoal's No Peeks, and I've been using them for years. Women benefit from increased nipple coverage provided by the thin molded cups, which also help their soft cups feel more like molded cup bras. These are meant to be placed within the cups of your bra. They are seamless, and you WILL NOT be able to see them under thinner bras because of this. These are designed to cover only a piece of the breast, and not the complete thing, as their name suggests. This is how the size is determined:
S = B/C
M = C/D
L = D/DD
XL = DDD+

2. Covers with an adhesive coating The Komene Pasties are widely considered to be the highest-rated adhesive nipple coverings currently available. These can be reused and cleaned multiple times. They are available in a wide variety of shapes, such as flowers and hearts. These are perfect for times when you don't feel like wearing a bra.
3. Bras with Textured Cups and Bands There is a widespread misunderstanding that molded cup bras will always be able to conceal nipples. This is not the situation at all. The majority of today's most popular molded bra types are made with softer materials so that they may better conform to the shape of the wearer's breasts and nipples. Know about niidor.
Unfortunately, decreased nipple protection comes along with materials that are softer to the touch. I would suggest going with a bra that has some sort of pattern or texture in the cup if you don't want to look like you're wearing a suit of armor. They perform an excellent job of concealing nipples, and the print can't be seen when the product is worn beneath clothing.
A couple of the bras that I find particularly appealing are the Soma Enticing Lift Bra and the Wacoal Halo Lace Bra. Both of these bras have textured cups. The amazing thing is you can’t see the texture below garments!
Kim “Kimmay” Caldwell from the lingerie blog Hurray Kimmay expressed it quite beautifully, “Nipples have a specific role to everyone of us. It’s your choice if you’d like to share them with someone. It’s your choice if you want the world, or just a chosen few, to know what yours look like.”
How do you feel about letting your nipples show? Does it help you feel free, or feminine? Or do you feel they are no one’s business except your own? Do you believe we should use nipple covers? I’d love to hear what you think! Leave a comment below and let’s get the dialogue started on this “taboo” topic.
