Pretzels that have been dipped in chocolate
Chocolate-Covered Pretzels are the ideal combination of savory and sweet flavors in a snack food. When I was a kid, one of my favorite snacks was white fudge pretzels. It wouldn't be difficult for me to consume an entire bag in a single sitting.
As an adult who is also majoring in dietetics, I am aware of how much junk food is actually contained in those miniature pretzel snacks. Therefore, I decided to make my own healthier version, and it turned out to be both too easy and too delicious to keep to myself!
There are only two components required: chocolate chip cookie minis and mini pretzels.
After dinner, these Chocolate Covered Pretzels are the perfect sweet treat for me to indulge in, and they also make a great quick sweet snack. In addition to that, they are wonderful for gatherings of any kind. Know about 10 Bests Chocolate Coated Chips Pretzels.
PRETZELS COATED IN CHOCOLATE CONTAINING THE FOLLOWING INGREDIENTS:
You are free to use any chocolate chip brand you like, but my personal preference is the no added sugar baking chips from Bake Believe brand of chocolate chips. If you're looking for a healthier alternative, Lily's chocolate chips are another option to consider.
For this recipe, I used baking chips made of white chocolate and milk chocolate; however, you are free to substitute any flavor of baking chip you like!
You can use any generic or gluten-free brand of mini pretzels; however, my personal preference is for Snyder's Mini Pretzels Mini Pretzels. If you prefer, you can substitute pretzel sticks for the mini pretzels and continue with the same method.
Rainbow sprinkles are completely optional, but they do add a fun splash of color to the dessert.
HOW TO MAKE THE CHOCOLATE COVERED PRETZELS
INSTRUCTIONS: STEP 1 Pour the chocolate chips into the bowl. If you are using baking chips in more than one flavor, separate the flavors into individual bowls before adding them. After that, melt it in the microwave for increments of 15 seconds until it is completely melted.
PHASE 2: Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
STEP 3 Coat mini pretzels in melted chocolate completely by dipping them in the chocolate until it hardens. Remove any excess chocolate with a shake of your hand and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Proceed with the process until all of the chocolate has been consumed.
PHASE 4: Sprinkle each pretzel with the toppings of your choice (this step is optional)
STEP 5: Once the chocolate has cooled and become firm, remove the baking sheet from the refrigerator and place it in the freezer for another 15 minutes.
STEP 6: If there are any pretzels left over after you've finished eating them, place them in an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator for up to a week.
This recipe only produces about 20–24 pretzels, so if you want to make them for a large group or gathering, I recommend doubling or even tripling the amount of ingredients called for in the recipe.
